History and Geography are excellent ways to enhance a child's understanding of the world around us.   Looking at historical eras helps us to understand where we are now, and an understanding of the terrain and how it has evolved helps us to understand the world around us

My personal favourite areas of History are the ancient worlds and the Tudor dynasty.
